Jill M. Gradwell, assistant professor, History and Social Studies Education, and coordinator, social studies education program, and Scott G. Grant, associate dean for teacher education, University at Buffalo, presented their paper, “Bridging the Perceived Divide: Teachers, Researchers, and Alternative Assessments of Students’ Historical Knowledge and Understanding,” at the 87th annual conference of the College and University Faculty Assembly of the National Council for the Social Studies in San Diego, California, November 28–30.
