Achievements

Jean F. Gounard, director of international student affairs, has been invited by the Institute of International Education to help select the inaugural class of Schwarzman scholars. This philanthropic program at Tsinghua University in Beijing, established by Steve Schwarzman, is modeled after the Rhodes Scholarship; its goal is to educate the next generation of global leaders about China. Scholars are selected from around the world and will pursue a fully funded one-year master’s degree at Schwarzman College, a newly constructed world-class academic and residential building on Tsinghua's campus. Schwarzman scholars will welcome the first class of 100 students in summer 2016.
