Paul E. Lubienecki, presidential fellow, Monroe Fordham Regional History Center, wrote an article, “John Timon—Buffalo's First Bishop: His Forgotten Struggle to Assimilate Catholics in Western New York,” that was published in the New York History Review's annual magazine.
