Achievements

Ruth X. Guo, assistant professor, Computer Information Systems, recently published a research paper “Video Ethnography in Teacher Preparation” in the International Journal of Learning. This paper reported on the pedagogy of integrating digital video technologies into microteaching in teacher education programs. An ethnographic approach was applied to represent the pre-service teachers’ professional development. Findings showed that integration of video recordings with an ethnographic approach helped pre-service teachers develop their teaching strategies and build their confidence in teaching.
