Achievements

Stephen Phelps, professor emeritus, Elementary Education and Reading, has published an article “Critical Literacy: Using Nonfiction to Learn about Islam” in the November issue of the Journal of Adolescent and Adult Literacy. This article is based on research conducted during his sabbatical in spring 2007.
