Achievements

Susan McMillen, professor of mathematics, and Pixita del Prado Hill, professor of elementary education, literacy, and educational leadership, presented "Using Co-teaching to Develop 21st-Century Literacies in Secondary Teacher Candidates" at the National Association for Professional Development Schools annual conference in Atlanta, Georgia, February 14–16. The presentation shared research on their co-teaching of EDU 416: Teaching Literacy in Middle and Secondary Schools and its associated service learning with English learners at Lafayette International High School.
