Zhang Jie, professor of sociology and director of the Center for China Studies, published his paper "Suicidal Ideation and Psychological Strain among Patients Diagnosed with Stomach Cancer: The Mediation of Psychopathological Factors" in the Journal of Nervous and Mental Disease 205 (7): 550–557. The study's coauthors were Zhang Xuekun, Nicholas Procter, Xiaoyun Chen, Yonggang Su, Fenglan Lou, and Fenglin Cao.
