New Program:
B.F.A. Art Education

New Course:
THA 232 Stage Management. Prerequisite: THA 106 or THA 216 or instructor permission. Instruction in the duties, responsibilities, and techniques of a successful stage manager. Preparation of all materials needed to run a rehearsal and maintain a performance as the stage manager. Participation in one of the departmental productions to explore hands-on work and interactive experiences.

Course Revisions:
AED 606 Visual Art Curriculum Design. Prerequisite: Initial certification in education. Analyzing, evaluating, and designing contemporary art teaching materials, content, and strategies. Focus on teacher-student dialogue, learning behavior, and artistic educational practices.

AED 610 Contemporary Art Theory. Prerequisite: Degree in a visual arts–related field. Theoretical perspectives in art criticism and aesthetics that contribute to contemporary art education practices.
