Calling for Examples of Active Engagement, Higher-Order Thinking, and Meaningful Learning

The research group on academic rigor/challenge is looking for concrete examples of assignments that promote active engagement, higher-order thinking, and meaningful learning. We want to illustrate our model with disciplinary examples. We are also interested in the extent to which techniques for promoting active engagement, higher-order thinking, and meaningful learning vary across disciplinary contexts. Anyone interested in contributing to this portion of the study should contact John Draeger by Friday, September 23.
