The East Village Opera Company combines the musicianship of a powerhouse rock band and string section to reinterpret classic opera arias into high-adrenaline, power rock songs. Two outstanding vocalists bring the towering emotion and timeless musicality of opera into the twenty-first century. The bands reinvention and seamless fusion of music’s “greatest hits”—including “La donna è mobile” from Rigoletto, “Habanera” from Carmen, and “Nessun dorma” from Turandot are performed at full length and in the original languages.
