The One Region Forward planning team will conduct a “Community Congress Workshop on the Road” Scenario Planning Workshop at Buffalo State on Wednesday, February 26, at 5:00 p.m. in Classroom Building A209. Hosted by the Geography and Planning Department, the exercise will give students, faculty, and staff an opportunity to contribute to the One Region Forward Sustainability Plan by engaging in a collaborative mapping exercise to determine what the future of the Buffalo Niagara region should look like. This hands-on exercise will allow participants to map where future land use, development, housing, and transportation investments should be made. Final map data will be used to develop the goals, recommendations, and implementation strategies of the Sustainability Plan, which is being funded by the Department of Housing and Urban Development and managed by the University at Buffalo Regional Institute and the Greater Buffalo Niagara Regional Transportation Council.
