Buffalo Spree magazine will host a panel discussion at the Burchfield Penney on Thursday, September 16, at 7:30 p.m. Charles Burchfield was called a regionalist and didn’t like it. Many artists who live and work in Western New York still resent the term “local.” But whatever you call it, a thriving art scene is a benefit for any area. Our panelists will start out by discussing how shows like Beyond/In WNY can energize our artists and galleries and how best to sustain that energy so that artists can stay—happily—in Buffalo.
