Buffalo State is seeking the next leader of the general education program and the first-year experience for our campus. The assistant dean of intellectual foundations and first-year programs will provide administrative leadership and manage operations of Intellectual Foundations, Learning Communities, and UNC 100 for Buffalo State.

The responsibilities of the assistant dean of intellectual foundations and first-year programs include

• leadership and administrative management of the general education program at Buffalo State;
• leadership and administrative management of the first-year experience at Buffalo State;
• organization of course blocks for the first-year registration process;
• faculty development related to intellectual foundations and the first-year experience;
• program assessment;
• instruction of one course per academic year in Intellectual Foundations or the First-Year Experience.
