Join alumni and friends for an evening of wine pairings and ambiance at Amaretto Bistro, 7170 Transit Road in Williamsville, from 5:30 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 14. Registration is required. Sign up on the Alumni Association website. The cost is $42 per person.

First Course

• Seasonal amuse-bouche (small appetizer)
• House-made bread and lavosh with signature dipping oil
• Salad: Duck confit, arugula, blackberry vinaigrette, toasted pecans
• Wine: Washington Hills Riesling

Second Course

• Braised short ribs, creamy polenta, root vegetable hash
• Wine: Zen of Zin zinfandel

Third Course

• Chocolate terrine with raspberry creme anglaise; chocolate truffle petit fours
• Wine: Cockburn's tawny port
