Deborah Silverman, assistant professor, Communication, was named chair-elect of the Northeast District of the Public Relations Society of America in May. The Northeast District, one of 10 PRSA districts in the country, includes PRSA chapters in upstate New York and New England. She will become chair in January 2008.
